Hi I'm Elena,

I am a fully qualified Maths teacher and GCSE Maths examiner. I have a BSc Mathematics degree and have an enhanced DBS.

I offer Maths tutoring either online or in person covering Key Stage 3, GCSE/IGCSE and A-level Maths. 

I have over 15 years teaching experience in secondary schools and tutoring. I am a friendly and supportive tutor. I have experience working with children from a range of backgrounds and educational settings. I love tutoring because I feel that I can help make a difference and help pupils understand a subject that I am passionate about, particularly to those who have found mainstream education difficult. I have experience working with children with SEN- ASD, ADHD, BESD.

My experience as a teacher and as Head of Key Stage 3 means that I know the content for secondary school pupils and can adapt my teaching style to best suit my students. I am a patient and calm tutor, my approach to Maths ensures that pupils learn the concepts but also feel comfortable to ‘have a go’ and ultimately feel more confident in their ability to do the subject.
